Clouds Packaging has matured its digital printing technology for PE single-material recyclable (including recycled material) laminated flexible packaging.

By December 31, 2025, EU member states must achieve a 65% recycling rate (by weight) for all packaging waste, among which laminated flexible packaging must also reach a 50% recycling rate.

CEFLEX, the European Flexible Packaging Circular Economy Organization, strongly recommends that flexible packaging adopt single polyethylene (PE) with a weight ratio exceeding 90%, and other barrier components such as SiOx, AlOx, aluminum plating, and EVOH are allowed to account for a maximum of 5% by weight. Currently, this definition has been widely recognized by the industry.

MDOPE/GRS PE (including recycled PE) will Become Mainstream

Its water/oxygen barrier effect is close to that of BOPP//PET//PE, and it is suitable for various bag types and most product packaging.

Machine-Direction Oriented Polyethylene (MDOPE) film is gaining increasing popularity. Stretched PE film has advantages such as high stiffness, high heat resistance, high tensile strength, and good optical properties. MDOPE film is used in single-material packaging to replace the former BOPP, PET, or PA surface layers.

GRS PE Film: GRS certification is the abbreviation of Global Recycled Standard. It is an international voluntary full-product standard. Mainly according to different requirements of end customers, different proportions of PCR materials are added (PCR is a post-consumer recycled material. If PCR materials are to be added during the production process, TC certificates can be issued according to customer requirements. Note: Material TC certificates are charged separately by purchase batch!)

For PE single-material recyclable (including recycled material) laminated flexible packaging, the "Dimite" digital printing technology is mature.

At present, the single recyclable material PE//PE has high stretchability, making it difficult to tear slowly!

It is recommended that customers tear it quickly with a sudden force in one go.
